What is a Shoe-Box Swap?
A Shoe Box Swap is a card swap, where you make one card. Then cut all of the card stock, provide all the elements, ink, embellishments, etc. you need to make the card. In a box or “shoe box” you put all the items needed to make the card, including scissors & adhesive, to make as many cards as people that are participating in the swap.
Shoe Box Swaps
are designed for you to make one card and go home with 10 (or however many people are participating) different cards that you make in a short time frame! It's like a "Cookie Swap" at Christmas. Only there is NO baking required.
At the Swap, you would then set up a station, and the other people participating would make your card. Then everyone in your swap group would move around to the various number of stations, making cards that are different. You then leave with new cards, new samples, and new technique ideas to use in your crafting!
It's SO much fun!
If you are interested in attending or holding a ShoeBox Swap, let me know and I can help you plan one! They can be themed, or anything goes. You can also make 3-d items like gift boxes or bags.
It's a great way to bring friends together, have a great time and walk away with new cards or projects, and tons new memories.
