The making of 120 Wedding invitations...as told through time lapse.

My cousin’s daughter is getting married and we couldn’t be more excited! When they called to ask if I could help them out on the invitation, I was delighted. She had her theme and colors and fortunately, SU! had the perfect stamp set & die set; Sunflowers dies & stamp set. We hammered a design out and I was off to the races! We used Merry Merlot, Crushed Curry, and Very Vanilla card stock. I hope you enjoy seeing a glimpse of what goes into some serious production work.

Stamping and prepping Crushed Curry card stock to be run through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Die cut machine.

Running top layer of Sunflowers through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine.

Cutting the base card stock out of Crumb Cake using the Stampin’ Trimmer (((LOVE this trimmer!!))).

How satisfying to have all my die cut sunflowers sorted and stacked into piles of 10’s. This helps me keep track of how many I need to cut, and with over 100 to do, 10’s make it an easy sort.

And here they are all put together. It’s quite glorious as the cards come together to see each component finished!!

And I continue this process for each component of the card. Having the right tools for the job makes all the difference. The Take Your Pick tool with the brush attachment was a life-saver to poke out all those little holes and lacy bits.

Below is the final Invitation. All told it took about 40 hours for me to produce, and about $250 in product. It was truly a labor of love and I enjoyed doing all of it! Here’s to many happy times & years ahead, Ashlee & Rodney!
